The Closing Border Ceremony, also known as the Beating Retreat Ceremony or simply the Retreat Ceremony, is a military-theatrical show held daily at the border between Pakistan and India.
In simple terms, the border crossing between the two countries is closed for the night. However, the closure is not a straightforward process; instead, it involves a genuine daily parade that attracts tourists, patriots from across the country, and, of course, rare foreigners.
This ceremony has been conducted since 1959, and over the years, it has become a true landmark.
